We welcome all to an inclusive, virtual celebration of Buddha Jayanti on May 15 at 11:30 am ET, 10:30am CT, 9:30 am PT and 9:00 pm IST, centering the experiences of LGBTQIA+ Buddhists and their families.
Buddha Jayanti or Buddha Purnima is an auspicious day that marks the birth anniversary of Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. It is believed that this was also the day he attained enlightenment.
Desi Rainbow Parents & Allies invites all Desi LGBTQIA+ folx, their families and allies to an Inclusive Celebration, celebrating all genders and sexualities. Kids of all ages are welcome!
We will listen to affirming words from faith leaders and celebrate the joy of LGBTQIA+ Buddhists.
