Desi Rainbow Parents & Allies is an all volunteer network that wants to provide an affirming space for South Asian parents and allied family members to talk about family relationships and issues related to gender identity and sexual orientation. We all come from different circumstances and backgrounds, but we share the desire to find culturally sensitive support that will help our family stay whole and healthy.

Our groups are led by volunteers who are themselves LGBTQIA+ or parents and allies, and are intended to provide peer led support. While guest experts may be invited to speak on certain topics, we do not provide advice or medical information. Topics may vary, the focus of the group is to learn to support and affirm your child and/or loved ones.

Desi Rainbow is currently only able to serve folks who live primarily in North America. As a mostly volunteer-operated organization, our capacity is limited.
